At Pirita building, lighting goes beyond function; it is part of an architectural strategy that promotes care, sustainability, and collaborative living. Designed by Satt Arquitectura following the principles of the Triple Bottom Line —environmental, social, and economic— this co-housing project places collectivity at the heart of its spatial narrative.
We conceive light as a natural extension of this approach. Light that is shaped from conscious decisions —material, energetic, perceptive— aimed at reducing environmental footprint and enhancing the daily experience of those who inhabit the space. The lighting scheme is structured in two complementary layers. A technical layer, discreetly integrated into the architecture, provides visibility, comfort and visual continuity. And a decorative layer, more intimate, that introduces warm and domestic nuances, bringing scale, identity, and hospitality to the communal spaces. Through precise technical choices, sensitivity to the built environment, and a social perspective, light helps to consolidate a housing model where collective well-being and environmental commitment are seamlessly embedded in everyday life. |
